Unemployment / Paid Leave

- Even self-employed are now eligible, though the standard unemployment claim will fail for those who are self-employed, you need to apply anyway, and then you need to apply for PUA (Pandemic Unemployment Assistance) and dependent on income, you may qualify for up to $235 a week, and from April 4 to July 25, an extra $600/week if qualifying. You can ‘backdate’ your claim to the date the pandemic started to affect your income as recommended. You also must file weekly claims. The job search requirement is also currently waived, but check the website for updates.

- 3rd Round applications due 3-20-2020 at 11:59 PM E.T.
- Grants of up to $10,000 for small business owners facing immediate financial pressure due to COVID-19 and who do not have access to flexible, affordable capital. Funding can be used for paying rent, utilities, payroll, outstanding debt to vendors, and other immediate operational costs. More details on the website.

- Small Business Guidance & Loan Resources
- To receive this loan advance, you must apply for a loan through the EIDL program. When you apply for the loan, you can receive an advance of up to $10,000. The maximum amount of loan advance is $10,000, contingent on the size of the loan you apply for. If you are approved, the advance amount will be subtracted from the loan received. If you are not approved, you will not have to pay back the advance. New applications accepted starting Monday, June 15, 2020.
